| There it is!
The world famous Zanzi-Bar on Melrose Avenue. It is the place where everybody who is somebody hangs out in Hollywood, after 8pm. It is pretty much impossible to get in. The owner, Frank Hell, is very picky. In order to get in, you have to be very rich, or very good looking. Or a girl. But last week, we met Moss Harvester on the set of a TV movie of the week. Moss is the bouncer at the Zanzi-Bar. |

| That picture was taken on July 14th 1995, the day the Zanzi-Bar opened on Melrose. All these people are celebrities trying to get in.
Most of them were turned down for obvious reasons. The owner was later sued for "only letting movie people in", and discriminating against TV people. They settled that last year, and now, even TV stars are welcome at the place. |

here is a good example of how picky Frank Hell is.
My roommate, Phil Schwartzetti and I showed up a couple of weeks ago, at the door of the Zanzi-Bar with our camera. A At around 9pm, this girl showed up. She is the daughter of a very well known TV evangelist. Just a few minutes later, she came back out. The bouncer, Moss Harvester told us that she was personally turned down by the owner. "Her boobs are too weird, and besides, her Dad's on TV", was the official reason from Frank Hell. I smell another law suit. |

| Once we got inside, Phil tried to take as many pictures as he could, but we ran into some trouble with some security guy.
But Phil took this one. It turned out to be the owner's wife, Sophie Hell. She had a couple of drinks and was trying to make out with Phil's hat. |

| This is what they call the "Million dollar shot". Phil was lucky enough to take a picture at the exact same time Frank Hell was noticing him! What a lucky shot.
But the evening was getting pretty wild, and I guess Frank didn't want any pictures taken, so he asked Phil to stop. Phil doesn't take orders very well, and he told Frank a few things about his wife.... That's when Frank Hell became very, very mad... |

| Here is a funny shot of Phil, as he was being thrown out of the Zanzi-Bar, and into a back alley garbage bin.
Frank Hell and the 5 bouncers were laughing so hard, it was tough to hear Phil crying for help. |

| A couple of minutes later, Frank told his guys to "Burn the whole thing". That included my roommate.
S They set the thing on fire, and then pushed it down the street, still laughing. I I think Phil was laying low, because I couldn't hear him at all. I don't think we're going to try the Zanzi-Bar again. I just heard about a new hot place in Van Nuys, called the "Butt Bar". Phil says it sounds pretty good, and we should check it out. |
