the Race car Movie

Phil and I got a call to be extras on a film about the life of race car legend Skipp SMALL.

It was going to be a 2 week job!!! This is very rare in the business.

That picture of me was taken on the 1st day by Phil. It was weird because I wasn't supposed to say anything, but that girl (a snob union extra), kept telling me to get away from her.

I got distracted and we had to shoot that short scene 58 times...

That's Phil on our 2nd day on the set. He played a guy named Ned Small. Brother of the famous Skipp.

After the second take, the director realized that Phil was wearing his hat (duh!).

Of course, he wouldn't take it off, and tried to kiss that girl before they escorted him off the set.

He also tried to take that trophy home, but some security guy got it back.

Then, the 3rd day, they put us in 1960's race cars. That's me, with the red helmet. They told us : "Do not drive these cars ! These are priceless collectibles!"

But we were supposed to rev the engines "to sound realistic". So I did. But I never saw so many buttons and pedals (3) before, and I got kind of confused...

To make a long story short, the car just took off! I couldn't control it at all, and I slammed into a wall. Phil took that picture, and told me I was doing at least 100 mph!

He said they were very worried about the car. I don't remember much . The last thing I saw were my 2 feet trying to make sense of the 3 pedals.

Phil claims it took the director over an hour to call the fire department. I 'm not sure, because I don't even remember the accident. I just woke up 3 days later in the E.R waiting room.

Phil said he got into another fight over these pictures.

The job turned out to be just a 3 day job, and we complained to the director and to Mr Mojo of the Mojo casting agency.

But they didn't respond yet.
