The PACER FEST !!!
My roommate, Phil Schwartzetti, is also into cars and told me it would be a good idea to belong to the world famous Pacer SuperClub of Hollywood.

It's a good way to find parts for my beautiful 1970's Pacer, and maybe we can schmooze a couple of big Hollywood producer, maybe some girls too. I hear the Pacer is getting big again with movie stars. Phil told me Tom Cruise has one.

So we both decided to go to their 3rd annual PacerFest in beautiful Sunland. I was so exited that I forgot to take my roommate with me. Phil took that shot as I was driving the wrong way, trying to get on the freeway to Sunland...
We arrived kind of late at the "Fest". Even though it is their 3rd one, it didn't look to be very popular. We met this guy: Ricky Costello. Ricky was pissed of at the "later model front end" of that yellow Pacer. He was going to "remodel" it. He's a purist...

We found out later that, besides Ricky, everybody else was drunk, or rioting in the streets of downtown Sunland. He told us not to mess with Harvey Strepp, if we went downtown. Strepp is a huge drunk guy with a temper. Vince remembered that a big Hollywood producer is named Strepp. We were on our way...
As soon as we got there, that Strepp guy jumped on my car!. Turned out he's some nutcase who can't stand 1970's American cars! Just our luck... He's apparently well known in these events, where he shows up and runs the place down.

I was still in my car when this picture was taken.

The police came later and put my car back on the road. Phil Schwartzetti had by then gotten a ride from some guy in a pick up truck.
That's pretty much what I saw the next week, when I drove back to pick up Phil. He hadn't shown up for a few days, and I was getting worried.

It was about 8 AM and he was already drunk. And bleeding too.

The guy from the truck saw me and told me to "take a fucking hike or else". So I did.

Some guy sent me this in the mail, a week after the Pacer Fest.

Phil turned up a couple of days later. He wasn't too happy. And he doesn't want to go back to the fest next year. He says there are no big hollywood people there, and no girls...
