There it is, the all new Durango. Well, it is still pretty much a truck, so don't expect a great ride or handling. But everything has been improved though.
It still looks pretty bloated to me. They offer a 3.7Liter V6 from the Jeep liberty as the base engine. But don't be fooled. It will take the V8 to move this massive beast forward. And the average gas mileage should be about what we used to get in the 1970"s... But it does look better than the previous generation. The bumpers don't look like they are going to fall off anymore. |

As to he interior design, It will take you back to the glorious Chrysler days of the 80's. Very square, with no style whatsoever.
And it still has a column shifter, just like in the 40"s. And the fake wood looks real fake. Again, a throw back from the 70's... In the days of the Nissan Murano, Lexus RX and Chrysler Pacifica, do we really need this? |

The new Dodge magnum will be one of the best station wagon on the market when it comes out.
It is the wagon version of the Intrepid replacement. The sedan will be shown at a later date. Engine choice will include a 3.5 Liter V6 and a 5.7 Liter V8. The new cars will switch back to rear wheel drive, using Mercedes transmitions and rear suspension. After years and millions of dollars spent on convincing people about the advantages of front wheel drive, they will now spend even more time and money doing just the opposite... Good luck. |
