MY BROTHER

My brother Yoshito Burlapp was adopted 3 years after I was born.

My parents had decided not to have anymore children after my Dad admitted he was gay at Thanksgiving dinner 1962.

Yoshito was already 5 years old when he came into our family. He was a smart kid. I was more of an artist.

He eventually went into law school when he was only 14, and started his own Pasta Business at age 17.

He created the famous " Burlapp Spaghetti" brand when he was 19. After a couple of Ravioli failures.

He always hated any other types of pasta anyway. He claims the only pasta worth eating is Spaghetti.

He even got into fist fights over this...

In 1999, his brand became the best selling pasta in northern Italy.

This is the outfit my Mom forced him to wear to school every day until his 13th birthday.

He hated it. Especially the last 3 years. He got into a lot of fights at school because of this.

I don't really know what happened to it. He laughs whenever my Mom asks. He told me he burned it one night. I don' know if that's true...

This picture was taken in 1996. I hadn't seen him for a while and I had no idea he was interested in robots.

He explained that since his break up with his girlfriend, Babs Muller, he was tired of real women, and that he was making his own. He planned to build the perfect woman and marry her when she was completed.

I haven't heard or seen that robot since.

But he seems to be happier these days. He's been going out with the same girl for about 5 years now.

I think he's planning a wedding soon.
